*Trina says: HOP ON OVER!

HL2 puts you back in the shoes of Gordon Freeman, the onetime reluctant hero of the phenomenally successful Half Life. Half Life 2 preserves the same seamless experience (sometimes you're not sure when the game ends and a cinematic sequence begins!) that its predecessor was famous for. In fact, many times, you feel more as if you're an actor in your own movie than a hapless player in a game.

Lots of shooting, and a few puzzles.

Although a bit too simplistic, that pretty much sums up HL2. It's a lot of fast-paced FPS action interrupted by quieter moments where you are asked to think for a bit. The puzzles are actually quite interesting because there are usually several ways to solve them (in addition to the simplest solution of all--blast your way through).

Star in your own action-flick

Now HL2 *really* makes great use of the new features of the Source engine. More so than Counterstrike: Source. It's here in HL2 that non-playing characters have neat facial features that actually display some honest-to-goodness emotions! Think of The Incredibles. And I'm not kidding! Add this to the overall EXCELLENT GRAPHICS and SOUNDS, and throw in some phenomenal script work from Valve, and voila! You can now call yourself Ahhhnold. But a smart geeky Ahnold. Gordon Freeman is a theoretical physicist after all!

In just a few months, this game has won practically every award there is in the gaming industry. More than a few reviewers have called it the "best action game ever made". At GameFrog, we agree. There's nothing quite like it.
