*Trina says: HOP ON OVER!

home » pc games » mu online

This MMORPG trailblazer has the honor of being the first locally deployed 3D MMORPG in the country. First unleashed onto a hungry public in August of 2004 (open beta), Mu Online has garnered quite a following among Pinoy Gamers!

Can you say Diablo?

Right off the bat, this game looks and feels a LOT like the old Diablo series. The graphics are just about as good, too. Highly detailed environments and highly customizable character appearance through a seemingly endless combination of items and armors. However, there are only three primary classes to choose from. Secondary classes (that you must level-up to) are another four for a total of only 7 classes.

As for the gameplay... well, it's a hack and slash MMORPG (like most of the stuff that hails from Korea). Mindless leveling and minimal storylines and simplistic quests are the norm here. But don't let me dissuade you from this game--it's still downright addictive! With no less than seven distinct worlds to explore, it's quite a universe! Plus Mu has had PVP/PK servers pretty much from the get-go, so for those with the bloodlust, there is something to just killing everyone in sight!

True Customer Service

If you ask us, THIS is where Mu really kills all the other local MMORPGs--Customer Service! If you've ever been frustrated by near-incompetent technical support with other local game distributors, do try out these guys. They're helpful, friendly, and know *EXACTLY* how to help their players!

All-in-all, a definite must-try in terms of a massively multiplayer hack-n-slash experience!
