Tabletop Game Demos

In an effort to promote our tabletop games, GameFrog holds regular weekend demos of the newest boardgames. These demos are facilitated by Uber Games' very own gamemeister Titus Abola.

These demos provide an opportunity for non-tabletop gamers to experience the unique thrill of tabletop games, without having to commit to the investment in the games. By having an expert on-hand to guide them, players also greatly reduce the learning curve required to get started on these games.

It's also a great venue to meet other gamers and expand your own network of players!

Mechanics

The tabletop demos are weekend events and usually last about 3 hours, depending on the number and types of games chosen by the participants. Tickets cost Php150 for members, and Php200 for non-members. This fee covers a free drink (beer, iced tea or softdrink) and a Php100 consumable credit for their choice of merienda at our cafe and restaurant. The consumable credit may not be exchanged for network gaming or computer rentals.

Unless otherwise specified, participants are requested to arrive at 2:00PM in the afternoon. During the brief orientation, the demo facilitator will ascertain everyone's play level and will make suggestions as to which games would do well for the afternoon. Ultimately, the players themselves have the final say as to which of the more than 20 games on-display they would like to try out.

Once a choice is made, the facilitator will provide a background on the game, and will instruct the players as to how the game is played. Depending on the game, a brief walk-through may also be provided. Players may play as many games as they wish within the three-hour slot.

Registration

To register for a tabletop demo, simply sign-up at our forum. Members do not have to prepay their reservations, but are given up to 48 hours prior to the demo to back-out. Otherwise, their accounts will be billed with a no-show charge of Php50. Non-members are required to pay for their slots no later than 48 hours before the start of the event.
